The destruction of auspicious pursuits in America, the weaponization of fear, markets and culture


when over marketing effects the heavily invested and their ability for success and floods the market with posers, people that don't really care about the field but are just there for the monetary opportunity, creating a sinking effect for everyone capitalism kills itself. Kills innovation.

 When society forces too much transparency it forces the vulnerability of those with hopes and dreams, vulnerability of those people to the hawks and the hoards of zombies looking for monetary gain.

 It forces the destruction of the intelligent that don't have the luxury of wealth. Forces them into collectivism. Destroying the potential for originality. Destroying the potential for the original to survive. Destroying the ability for a constant of creativity by those with real ideas that can help push society forward. That is the evil of an over suspicious society, a paranoid society. It is a society that destroys itself.

The drug war hurts people

Should everyone in a group be treated equally across the board? Why are policy's allowed that do such a thing and allow for mass injustice and the abdication of truth? The drug war is a prime example. You have people that abuse some drugs. But you also have those that seek them out for legitimate reason, people suffering from certain conditions that have been let down by the establishment and cannot get the medication that works for them. You have people of various faiths that are effected by drug laws because their beliefs entail the use of certain plants yet are denied exemptions for their beliefs under the 1st amendment. You have the people that want to preserve different species nomenclature that cannot do so because of current laws, leading to the extinction of different species. You have those that want to grow plants like hemp that cannot do so. You have people in a plethora of different fields that are attacked and made to feel uncomfortable doing what they love because of the drug war, not even allowed to speak out against it for fear of attacks by predators, when they've done nothing but speak their mind in a free country, done nothing wrong. You have a system that puts all people in one basket and paints them one way in the name of justice yet creates more often than not injustice. You have a system that makes those that follow the law yet surf the waves close to it in life made to look like criminals, their right to probable cause non existent. You have the people that are not a danger to society, those aforementioned targeted by manufacturers and traffickers laws as well as the truly innocent targeted with warrant less suspicion. Which is injustice. You have those that use abuse as a reason to take everyone elses rights away, so goes with law these days, like a type of parasite or parasitism the lazy and stupid suck away everyone elses rights. In an uneducated democracy freedom becomes slavery.

eBay targets sellers of plant in the coffee family.

Ebay has decided to target sellers of the plant Mitragyna Speciosa on their website. It is a tree from Indonesia more commonly known by the name kratom. They have done so under the pretext of their drugs and paraphernalia policy. Their policy specifically states that it bans the sale of narcotics and scheduled substances. The thing though is that if you call eBay and try to dispute this policy you are not allowed to and are given the runaround by phone operators.

Here is the thing. Kratom is not a scheduled substance. It is a mild narcotic though. Just as the plants: Ashwaganda, Belladonna, Betony, Black Coshosh, Bugleweed, Butter Tree, California Poppy, Camphor Tree, Catnip, Celastrus, Chamomile, Chir Pine, Coffee Senna, Country Mallow, Guarana, Hops, and horse chestnut are. Many of which are commonly used herbs in todays society. Hops are used in beer, California Wild Poppy is the California state wildflower, Chamomile is commonly used in tea, specifically sleepytime tea which can be found at most big name department stores, and there is Guarana, which is used in almost every energy drink out there today.

In my opinion if the big name sellers want to ban people on their sites from providing the leaves of the Mitragyna Speciosa tree then they will have to either specifically list the plant on their sales policy or crack down on every single other narcotic plant out there.

If a company like eBay wants to use the paraphernalia portion of their policy to go after Mitragyna Speciosa there is a lot of hypocrisy as well. Being that it is not scheduled, as I stated earlier. Being that they allow glass pipes that could be misused to consume a scheduled substance, but are marketed for tobacco use only on their website.

I also find it troubling that they are allowed to do this to the community of people selling the Mitragyna Speciosa plant because there are other plants out there that show how much of a double standard they have, like the morning glory plant. It has seeds that contain a schedule 3 substance within them, yet they somehow magically do not decide to go after morning glory seed sellers. Even though there are a lot of people who abuse the seeds of the plant for a psychedelic high.

I think that companies like eBay will someday be replaced by alternative sites that have a similar and reliable auction structure yet do not choose to hawk over and discriminate upon their users in a way much worse but comparable to the way YouTube does their users with their community guidelines. I think that the war on the herbalist, herb based scientific and herb based spiritual community's needs to stop and that once people begin to change things by voting with their dollars and not listening to ignorant misnomers perpetuated by law enforcement and media agency's we will start to see some real change in drug policy in this country and an end to the attacks on vulnerable community's.

The right people in this world. Those that would connect the best are often poles apart. Hundreds if not thousands of miles away from one another. Or not separated by distance but by ideology, by circumstance or by class. We were all thrown into this world, some of us only able to see those in our immediate vicinity, those that we grew up around, those we meet on our day to day routine. Those we meet through school. Some of us are ever separated because we compromise because of distance, because the right people just aren't in reach. Sometimes ideology, sometimes beliefs, sometimes social status and all of the other social constructs are used to play people against each other. Sometimes fears separate. It doesn't matter though. It's all disconnection. All disphoria and social distortion. The people that play upon the social constructs we have set up to unfairly judge others are evil. There's nothing else to be said.

US cannabis policy and taxonomists rights

Seed sales ought to be legal under any cannabis legalization measure. Fun fact: Cannabis seeds are legal in Canada, the UK and The Netherlands for taxonomy purposes. If the people in those countries, some of which have more draconian drug laws than the US can be trusted not to grow or abuse Cannabis seeds so should people in the US. After all, how is a taxonomist supposed to be able to complete a collection of plant seeds for the family cannabaceae if cannabis seeds are illegal.

Current drug laws, doing more harm than good? The legal obfuscation between drug manufacture and the cultivation of plants.

Marijuana is a gateway drug, a gateway to legalizing all plants and changing our entire idea of what the difference between a plant and a drug is under law.

There is a false dichotomy in the plant vs pharmaceutical argument. It isn't whether or not it is plants or pharmaceuticals that should be used in medicine. It is the dichotomy most often used against the people in the pro plant left, by the pharmaceutical side of the debate yet rarely ever mentioned by either side. The argument that a plant is a drug, automatically, no exceptions. No one using the plant is legitimately allowed to grow it for taxonomic purposes (and with many plants not allowed to even posses seed from it.), everyone is automatically using and cultivating it for drug purposes under the law. No exceptions. I believe that both sides are wrong in bickering about the above when there are people being victimized by law, by the later. By the fact that the cannabis plant is not a singular substance yet listed as such under the DEA's controlled substances list. That is the real plant vs drug false dichotomy. The fact that plants are treated as substances under law. Blindly nevertheless. Allowing for what in another sense would be classified as legitimate and legal behavior being classed as criminality and the intent to commit a crime. You can look at the morning glory flower and numerous other plants as standing double standards under US drug law. The morning glory contains scheduled substances but is legal to cultivate for beautification purposes. Yet we lock people up for plants like cannabis and have decided to specifically list it, the plant as a substance. It is blatant hypocrisy to schedule one and not the other, but I suspect they haven't done so because of the backlash they would get from gardeners as well as the fact that it would be impossible to police the growing of native or wild morning glory's, because they are everywhere. Just like wild petunias. The laws we currently have relating to the cultivation of certain plants in this nation are an abomination in my opinion and they shouldn't be allowed to stand as written.

Legalization Initiatives

Can you take any intoxicating legal herb that you want and drive as long as you can pass a sobriety test? Can you grow those herbs in public view? Can you grow hops in your yard if you want too, even though they are commonly used to brew alcoholic beverages? The amendments coming out these days do not contain reasonable compromises. They will continue the plight of those in the cannabis community. There will still be arrests of the poor and those that cannot afford to buy from cannabis retailers, those that chose to grow what god gave to them.

If a minor snuck onto your property and stole a bunch of foxglove or purple irises and consumed them then died who would most likely get the blame? Now apply that same situation to cannabis yet the minor doesn't die. Who would get the blame? The problem is with you, not those that want the freedom to grow a plant, just like any other variety put on this earth.

My opinion on the CSA and plants.

Do we measure the value of dandelions in a field or trees in a forest like we do cannabis or other similar plants? How do they know that these certain scheduled plants are destined for use or sale as a drug? They are living organisms. The plant doesn't become a drug until either the THC or other similar substance is extracted from it, or someone consumes it with the intent to cure or treat an illness or disease.
Any plant, which contains hundreds or thousands of substances listed as a single substance under the CSA is mislabeled and that makes any targeting of an individual under that false labeling unconstitutional and unlawful.
A substance is a compound separate from any plant material or other compounds. It is singular, not plural. Cannabis, or any other plant for that matter by definition are not substances.

The drug war as of late, The CSA and the unconstitutionality of it's current wording/contents

To list a plant as a substance under the law and attack peoples right to cultivate it under the automatic assumption of guilt in the intent to distribute it, consume it or sell it for consumption is unconstitutional. The cannabis plant is listed in the CSA using a slang term. Do you want politicians that don't even use common sense and obfuscate the facts about a plant to attack everyone in our society in office? Do you want someone that blindly calls a plant a drug, and spews mis-characterizations that make US citizens look ignorant and uneducated in office?


The mis-characterizations in the CSA have only been allowed to stand for so long because the people have just accepted them. With apathetic attitudes when dealing with our relationships between plants and drugs as a society. Letting these people run all over society by bending the CSA to say and mean whatever they want it to.

 Our drug war as of late is predicated upon the userpment of the burden of proof.

There are coca farmers and then there are cocaine farmers. The lack of respect for that difference by the us government shows that they have no interest in following laws or rules, it shows how ignorant they are to the difference between plant and substance and it shows that they do not have the maturity or trustworthiness to be in charge of enforcing or mandating drug laws.

New "synthetic cocaine" drug popular with kids, let's ban it.

It's called coffee and it is a new drug. It is legal in Colombia and the united states. It can easily be bought at gas stations, tobacco shops and on the internet. An organic herbaceous plant that is native to tropical Asia and Southern Africa. It is rapidly becoming the favorite drug among young adults because of it's stimulant effects. It is a central nervous system stimulant and works in the same way that cocaine, methamphetamine and amphetamines do.

This dangerous drug is also now being purified into a concentrated pure crystal form called caffeine USP. Most commonly used by truck drivers in pill form to stave off sleep in order to be able to get their job done on time, however this dangerous purified form of the drug coffee is now folly to our youth and can cause heart attacks in relatively small doses.

As mentioned above this dangerous drug has effects similar to that of cocaine and meth, in order to try and prevent a new drug crisis like the meth epidemic our legislators will be introducing a slew of new legislation across the country to make the new drug illegal.

There is no question that coffee is a dangerous and deadly new drug and this legislation is a must to prevent another epidemic.

The new bans being pushed will criminalize the sale, manufacture and the possession of products containing both coffee and caffeine. State law would be amended to place coffee and it's derivatives, including caffeine on a long list of other plants we dislike to be classed as controlled dangerous substances. Violators of the law, if caught would go to prison for between 8 months and 10 years and face fines of up to $300,00 dollars depending on the offense.

Legalizing a cannabis monopoly is legalizing the further discrimination of an entire people. Legalize a monopoly and you turn a plant into the new liquor. No doubt the stereotypes will remain, people will continue to get arrested for growing it and habitual use will probably increase because of the perception of this not as a plant, but a drug that only the government should be allowed to produce. Don't let them rape the cannabis plant and all of it's strains. Legalize home-growth or legalize nothing

A Problem that the dea watch-list made worse

Cracking down on the individuals who abuse
certain substances just causes more harm. The
dea instated mandatory forms that people must
fill out in order to purchase certain chemicals that could
be misused to manufacture scheduled drugs as part of their watch-list. In my opinion if
they are going to break the law they are going
to do it. Cracking down on the tools that they
use to do it does nothing but create drugs like
crokodil. The reason that the stuff is so
dangerous is because of the dea's actions. In
my opinion they made the meth lab problem worse
and more dangerous, as well as the meth itself.
If they would have approached the issue
differently the meth lab outbreak wouldn't have
gotten as out of hand as it did. If they worked
with the community and educated people instead
of attacking entire professions and creating
stigmas about them then maybe they wouldn't have people
driving around doing one pot meth cooking
ruining their body's and endangering the lives
of others. If they had never created the
watch-list the one pot method would have never
came into existence, methamphetamine would not
be as dangerous as it is and a lot more people
might still be alive. Funds could have been allocated to helping decrease the problemed abuse of these substances and the mexican meth problem may not be as bad as it is today.

Plants, botany and the illegality of the pursuit of happiness

Certain forms of botany and taxonomy are illegal. If a plant collector chooses a genus of plant which happens to have plants in it that have been scheduled their collection will never be complete. If they wish to have a complete collection they are labeled a criminal by the united states government. Do you have a right to the pursuit of happiness in this nation?

The issue with "synthetic cannabis" laws



Under a not for human consumption policy, things like the health harms associated with research chemical laced herbal incense happen. Recommended dosage cannot be established and government can use the issues that occur because of the lack of knowledge about these products, as well as the stigmas that arise to attack them. The stigmas about the products all based on the misnomer(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synthetic_cannabis#Misnomer) THEY created and an untrue construct(idea) about the product, that is supposed to simply be an herbal admixture. Selective enforcement of false advertising laws regarding these products helped lead to their outright ban. Many of the "spice" products(herbal incense) didn't state what they consisted of and much of the time contained illegal substances. The ban is totally illegitimate and based on whack a mole policing strategy, dragging innocent people into their drug war for no other reason than that they are too incompetent to enforce current regulations. Most synthetic cannabinoids are illegal but they didn't just go after the research chemicals that the products were being laced with by retailers and sometimes manufactured with. They went after the product as a whole, they passed broad laws that could allow for the usurpment of religious freedom. They passed laws that create a legal free for all for the DOJ when it comes to the shipping, sales and purchase of herbal incense. They passed laws that outlaw herbal admixtures altogether in some states.

My opinion on the issue:

Don't forget who invented Heroin. Don't forget who originally marketed it, how it was marketed and what happened afterwards. Ask yourself, was it a good reason for the disinformation that has helped spread the war on drugs around(a war which now includes numerous plants and soon to come, native species)?

Remember, at the time before our our nations struggles with addiction was cocaine in the colas, and morphine in the miracle elixirs widely and heavy handedly marketed at the time. There were no discrete storefronts as we have with modern hard alcohol sales today. There was no marketing guidelines, no false advertising laws. Shortly after all of that along came heroin. one and a half to two times more potent than morphine itself. The perfect storm. Remember this, it's all in how drugs were marketed that led to our nations inflated addiction problems at the time.
